China will help Poland with Euro-2012

Today Waldemar Pavlak (vice Prime Minister of Polish Government) and Miroslaw Drzewiecki (Minister of sport and tourism in Poland) left for China. In Beijing they’ll discuss with PRC chief Hu Jintao terms of Polish market entry for Chinese building companies to build there objects aimed for hosting Euro-2012 in Polish Republic, as informs “Ukrinform” agency with reference to “Polska” newspaper.

“They build half cheaper and two times faster than us but it doesn’t affect the quality” – said Mr. Drzewiecki before his visit to China.

The Minister added Chinese firms will participate in bidding for stadiums construction. In particular two Chinese syndicates China Metallurgical Group Corporation and China Overseas Engineering Group claimed their participation in bids for building “Baltic Arena” stadium in Gdansk. Both syndicates expressed their readiness to also build stadium in Wroclaw.

China’s interest to invest in Euro-2012 in Poland isn’t limited by constructing the stadiums only. Polish experts admit that building infrastructure by the Chinese can be really far cheaper but to provide such possibility for the workers Poland will need to introduce bill amendments regulating labor of foreigners in Poland.

As UBP informed earlier Ivan Vasyunik vice Prime Minister of Ukraine held talks in Beijing with Chinese CITIC Corporation management as to Ukrainian infrastructure preparation for Euro-2012.
