Lvov. Stadium construction for Euro-2012

On October, 23 during Lvov municipal council session the deputies have adopted decision on “Creation of contest commission for giving right to build on the territories destined for hosting Europe Football Championship final 2012″.

Oleg Sinyutka, Lvov chairman deputy was chosen as head of the commission. Its vice head became city council deputy Andrey Stetskiv, and for the post of secretary was elected Helena Payonkevich, juridical administration chief for the city council.

Commission also includes Andrey Pavliv, director of urban planning department for Lvov city council, Oleg Zasyadnuy - “Euro-2012″ department chief, head of Capital Development Agency Bogdan Koval, deputies of city council - Bogdan Bedrilo, Peter Adamick, Alexander Vardzal, Yuriy Kuzhelyuk, Vasiliy Pavlyuk, Oleg Bas, vice chairman for Lvov State regional administration Sergey Taratuta.

In accordance with approval in fourteen-day period contest terms need to be developed and passed and in a month period contest has to be held and its results should be made public. According to contest results executive power of city council has to make proper deals.

 

Besides in fourteen-day term Natural Resources and Land Relations Regulation Agency has to pass on for city council session to approve a list of estates planned to build there objects for hosting Euro-2012.

Mr. Taruta wants building Lvov stadium

Donbass Industrial Union (DIU) Corporation holds talks with Lvov authorities on its participating in building stadium for Euro-2012.

On Thursday, October 23, mayor of Lvov Andrey Sadovuy had talks with Alexander Taruta, head of Azovintex Company (also brother of Sergey Taruta, co-owner of DIU)

Talk’s goal was discussing issues of Company’s participation in building arena in Lvov. During the meeting terms and building budget were talked over, as told press-agency of Lvov municipal council to uaSport.net

As claimed Alexander Taruta, Azovintex is ready to build stadium for EUR 85 mln meeting the schedule deadline, which is insisted upon by UEFA.                   

Mr. Taruta has also added Company’s ready to start works the next day after signing general contract agreement.

Azovtex Company owns 49.99 % in authorized fund of DIU Corporation and is one of the largest building companies in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Apart from Ukrainian Azovintex Company among those desiring to build Lvov stadium are also Turkish Yeditepe and German Hochtief. Both companies participated in building Arena-Dniper stadium in Dnepropetrovsk. Bids for building football arena will be held In two weeks. In November building process starts.

UEFA: Global financial crisis won’t hamper Euro-2012

Global financial crisis doesn’t threat the preparation process in Ukraine to host Europe Football Championship 2012, considers David Taylor, UEFA general secretary.

“The whole world suffers from the crisis, but gradually situation is flattening out. Crisis effect on Ukraine may be less than on some Western countries” - noted Mr. Taylor.

“Of course, any financial agitation isn’t welcomed especially in the framework of planning long-term relations and stability. But we don’t consider global crisis makes considerable threat to preparation process for Euro-2012 in Ukraine” - told UEFA general secretary.

Earlier the head of Ministry for Family Yuriy Pavlenko stated during the chat at Correspondent.net that country isn’t facing any special difficulties relating to preparation for Euro-2012.

Metallist stadium is to be reconstructed by 2010

 Complete reconstruction of Metallist stadium which is supposed to host Europe Football Championship 2012 final has to be finished till December, 2010.

“We’ve reduced set terms by half a year. The stadium will seat 42.000 fans and its infrastructure will meet all UEFA standards” - stated Alexander Yaroslavsky, President of DCH Company.

At present backing blocks under new covering are being set. There’ll be 24 of them.  

Steel Construction CoLtd carries out metal structure installation. According to Sergey Evel, general manager of the Company, the stadium and its covering are going to satisfy all high demands on quality set by FIFA and UEFA.

“Reconstruction of Metallist stadium has already been sponsored by 60 mln hryvnyas. Approximately same amount is planned to be once more allocated this year” - said Arseny Avakov, head of Kharkov State regional administration.

“We’re witnesses that Kharkov is getting ready for Euro-2012 not in words, but in practice” - he observed.

“Watching the objects being built and reconstructed I guess Kharkov has to become major host-city of Euro-2012″ - said Mr. Avakov.

Earlier it was informed that erecting work on reconstruction of Olimpiyskiy NSC - major arena for Euro-2012 in Kiev will start on December 1, 2008.

As reports Donbass-Arena press-agency, building of new stadium in Donetsk is reaching its final stage.

Zbignev Krechina is charged with financial fraud

 Zbignev Krechina, General Secretary for Football Federation of Poland (FFP) is charged with financial fraud, informs Reuters. He’s accused of illegal transaction of $ 120.000 to “Vidzew” club. Mr. Krechina denies the charge. He was a favorite in forthcoming election of new FFP head instead of Mikhal Listkewich on October, 30. Election is held to avoid FIFA sanctions and possible loosing by the country right for hosting Euro-2012.  

Public prosecutor’s office claimed the charge isn’t aimed to fail election. “That’s part of investigation started in June. We’re not interested in forthcoming FFP election” - told public prosecutor’s office rep.
