Construction of two high-class hotels “Pushkinskaya” and “Grand” is started in Donetsk, as informed today city mayor Alexander Lukyanchenko.

According to the mayor, hotels are being built in downtown and are supposed to reduce the lack of 5-star hotels for Europe Football Championship.

Mr. Lukyanchenko stated by 2012 in Donetsk is going to be erected 7 more 4- and 5-star level hotels. At the moment total hotel rooms’ fund in Donetsk reaches 2200 places, which isn’t enough.

Football Federation of Poland (PZPN) calls it “nonsense” information spread in mass-media on Europe Football Championship final 2012 to be hosted in 6 Polish and 2 Ukrainian cities.

“We aren’t going to comment on frenzy emerging in mass-media” - said PZPN press-secretary Zbignew Kozmynski commenting the article edited by Polish Gazeta Wyborcza.

He noted it’s UEFA that defines which Ukrainian and Polish cities are going to host Euro-2012 matches. At the same time Mr. Kozmynski highlighted that corresponding decisions will most probably be adopted in May, this year.

Even more so, as claims PZPN press-secretary, UEFA can delay decision ratification for later date, as it happened with announcement of winner countries in bids contest for hosting Euro-2012.

Euro-2012 may be held in six cities of Poland and only in two Ukrainian cities, as informs Polish edition of Gazeta Wyborcza.

UEFA has to make public its decision in May: “If nothing extraordinary happens the Championship will be held in Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw, Krakow and Khozhuw” - claims Gazeta Wyborcza in UEFA. “Well, UEFA doesn’t worry about Poland” - assures Minster of Sport in Poland Miroslaw Drziewecki.

As is stated in newspaper, only Kiev and Donetsk can host Euro-2012 matches. Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Odessa and Lvov won’t cope with UEFA’s requirements.

Regardless of praises given to Ukraine by UEFA inspector David Taylor, the edition is skeptical: “Ukrainians try hard, but Mr. Taylor just encouraged them up”.

As notes deputy mayor of Lvov Oleg Sinyutka, the meeting has been held with Pyrenean country investors, who confirmed their capability by projects carried out in several countries of the world.

In their turn city authorities have declared readiness to assure organization of every needed infrastructure facility for the object, that is approach drive, services and so on.

The lot under the hotel erection has favorable location. It’s situated close to Lvov main stadium “Ukraine” where sport events will also be held during Europe Football Championship. The land is going to be put out to tender within the month to come.  Reserve price for the lot is 10 mln hryvnyas.

During his conversation with publishing edition representative, deputy manager of Municipal Department for Euro-2012 Championship organization Marat Yakupov informed of hotel infrastructure preparation in Odessa. At the moment in Odessa operate wide-range category hotels.

“We already have 26 rooms in 5-star category and 977 rooms in 4-star category hotels. At present working out of documentation to construct 22 hotel infrastructure objects is underway. Out of them 1676 rooms are being built for 5-star, and 1905 rooms for 4-star category” - highlights Mr. Yakupov.

As states the official, even if some objects aren’t set in operation before the Championship, agreement’s been concluded to use high class cruise ships as the hotels for accomodating the guests. For instance three of them, two 5-star and one 4-star category cruisers will reinforce hotel fund of the city by 2874 rooms. As to 3-star and lower categories, no lack is observed.
