New miracle of Donbass Arena

On June 23, the biggest in the world water revolving ball was set close to Donbass Arena stadium. The ball the weighing 30 tons has been created by German professionals with the special Tittlinger breed granite. Its diameter reaches more than 2,7 m. Despite its gigantic size, it looks like a soccer ball.

Grey element on its cover is polished granite, and the black ones have sandblasting and acrylic coverage. Ball stand is also huge, 360 cm in diameter and weighing 12,5 tons.

An enormous granite ball will revolve under the pressure of two water streams. Rotation is carried out due to water pressure and ideally round form. Deviation in granite ball form from that of ideal ball makes less than 0,1 mm.

The ball doesn’t spin yet, but after all dusty works in the stadium’s south side are finished, it’ll start operating.

It should be reminded that on July, 1st Donetsk Shakhter starts subscription sales to the brand-new Donbass Arena stadium.
