Looking for investors to install web-cameras in Olimpiyskiy NSC

Minister of family, youth and sports Yury Pavlenko says that the Ministry’s been looking for investors to install web-cameras in Olimpiyskiy NSC in Kiev.

The delay in their installation is caused by the lack of the approved project. To install web-cameras one needs $ 50.000.

Mr. Pavlenko has addressed to organizations which might get interested in the offer to install web-cameras in the stadium and obtain from the reconstructed sports arena exclusive broadcasting rights.

“We couldn’t afford allocating finances from Olimpiyskiy NSC reconstruction fund for web-cameras’ installation. We addressed to providers who are interested to install cameras for free for publicity purposes. And we’re open to carry it out even tomorrow, but not from the state budget, though”, - says the Minister.

Illumination installed at Donbass Arena

Installation of LED lamps providing illumination of a glass facade has begun at Donbass Arena.

After the lamps are installed, façade’s major part will be illuminated with dark blue lights, while roof top perimeter will be white, producing soaring cover effect. Installation of ten thousand of LED lamps is carried out inside the facade.

But the main feature of spot illumination in Donbass Arena’s façade is its energy efficiency. Illumination will consume only 50-60 watt per hour. According to experts it’s not much, whereas traditional phosphor or metal-halide lamps would consume in this case hundreds of watt per hour.

Viktor Yushchenko calls to reconsider the Program on Euro-2012 organization

Press secretary of the President Irina Vannikova claims that Viktor Yushchenko is supporting revision of the Program on European Football Championship organization.

“The President has especially pointed out that after UEFA decides on four Ukrainian cities which can be hosts of Euro-2012, one needs to reconsider the Program on Euro-2012 organization in these cities”, - she says.

Mrs. Vannikova observes that revision’s required not only for Programs on sports facilities construction but also for the Programs concerning road construction.

Viktor Yushchenko has once again expressed his concern over financing situation in Euro-2012 organization, having noted that out of 7.2 bln hryvnyas previewed in 2009 only 5 % is allocated at the moment.

V. Yushchenko stresses the need of the urgent definition of finance sources which are real and at the same time won’t carry destabilization of exchange-value of hryvnya and price surge.
