Euro-2012 and Troitskiy shopping mall

The construction works near Troitskiy shopping center in Kiev are going as scheduled, stated Yuriy Pavlenko, the Minister of Family, Youth and Sports on Thursday night, July 24 on 5th channel.

Reporting on the Troitskiy trade center dismounting progress near Olimpiyskiy NSC the Minister Yuriy Pavlenko informed that “works near Troitskiy shopping mall are progressing as scheduled. No problems occurred as to dismounting the center. They are all removed by Kiev authorities and the Government’s resolutions”.

“As to Olimpiyskiy NSC reconstruction, resolution of the Government is adopted specifically for it, because decision taken by UEFA points out to really limited time-frame” – added the Minister.

UEFA resolution highlighted as “possible way of reducing reconstruction terms is removal of various restrictions, including those connected with prolonged agreement procedure. In this case the Government has adopted resolution according to which checking up, dismounting and projecting works needn’t any complicated and prolonged bidding procedure. Such resolution can be approved by multiagency work group consisting of different agencies officials, headed by vice Prime Minister Ivan Vasyunik”

- underlined the Minister.

Mr. Pavlenko expressed his view the President of Ukraine wouldn’t suspend Government’s decision concerning reconstruction works near Olimpiyskiy NSC.

Earlier it was stated that President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko charged the Cabinet with taking urgent measures on preparation and hosting final part of Football Championship Euro-2012, having signed the relevant decree on July, 21st.
