As football season lasts from summer to summer, the football world tends to conclude the calendar year doing the same things: count up some statistics, filling up ballots, and of course, awarding some diamond/golden/silver statues to the pool winners.
It’s well know fact that several Barcelona FC players became FIFA victors of 2011 (also FIFPro, International Federation of Football History & Statistics and other organizations that recently awarded their own prizes and now share the official ceremony with “monopolists” International Football Federation). Lionel Messi wes recognized as the best footballer of the year, however, while his speech he give credits to another winner of the night, best playmaker Xavi. Therefore, five Barça players formed the symbolic FIFA team. In addition, Josep Guardiola, the main football manager of Catalonian FC won the best coachman prize.
Nevertheless, after the ceremony applauses ceased, in his interwiev, Guardiola hinted that there weren’t any irreplaceable people in Barça. If he had such a desire even Messi could leave the club!
The Italian doesn’t like German Turkish
The European championship kicks-off only in half a year, but qualified for the finals old enemies try to gibe at each other outside the football lawns. However, it is not some youth with high level of testosterone and adrenaline who are doing it. It’s mature, worldly-wise, football aces that know how, when and what they should say.
Nevertheless, the main football manager of England team, Fabio Capello let himself go criticizing Germany national team because of its players stuff i.e. team consist of German citizens but their origins are others. It’s obvious that Capello didn’t unveil the secrets but the Germans were offended and opposed such an announcement. Fair enough!
Former-footballer and now technical director of German Football Association, Matthias Sammer said once: “Sport is a reflection of county’s development.” So, the arguments can last forever but this very case is described vividly and accurately by this quotation! What should national team do whose 20 or 40% of population consists of immigrants in several generations?! Should they ignore every third fan, every third football players and every third boy in sports schools? It’s so stupid!
The best answer for Capello is a reminder that he is Italian who occupies with training England football team! One Internet user commented situation in a following way: “It’s Capello who should keep silence about the national awareness!”
Coachman-billionaire
The richest football manager of the modern world is named! His wealth is some $16bn and he’s going to train titled European football club. Yep, it’s not some pocket outskirt team, as you may thought, but UEFA Cup Winner, Shakhtar Donetsk. This is Rinat Akhmetov, one of the richest men in Europe and the wealthiest person of Ukraine.
The thing is while staying in Rumania on Christmas holidays, Mircea Lucescu, the coachman of Shakhtar FC had a traffic accident. Fortunately, he is good but had some traumas that don’t threaten his life. However, now he has some problems with health (by the way, with law too because he is involved in criminal case due to traffic rules violence). Nowadays, Mister is in a Rumanian hospital and will stay there for two months.
So Rinat Akhmetov, the Shakhtar FC owner, couldn’t stay apart the situation and came to see Mircea Lucescu in the hospital. Therefore they discussed not only the coachman’s heath but also the club’s destiny for the near future and the preparation for the football season. After the conversation, Ukrainian billionaire has made a sensational announcement that before Mircea Lucescu would return, he will be the football manager of the club.
By the way, the image of German coachman, Joachim Löw could suite well Rinat Akhmetov: refined mode of dress, cold-blooded gaze, thoughtful standing near sidelines…
