Football stars of global scale and of lower ranks continue to compete in skill of prediction of the future European championship results. For football "Nostradamuses" the winner of Euro 2012 - for obvious reasons - is one of the most actual subjects. Though their opinions are not distinctive. Everybody tells about one of the most evident favorites: Spain and Germany.
Marco Devych, the forward of Ukraine national football team (by the way, of Serbian origin), in his lately interview called the team from Pyrenees as the main candidate for the Cup. At the same time the famous coach Marcello Lippi looks otherwise at the results of European football championship. His analytic mind suggests him that the proficiency of the Spanish will diminish by the summer and that will be enough for the final victory of the German.
Both the German national team and "Bayern" footballer Philip Lahm, without making forecast, noted that he and his teammates have no other way out than winning Euro-2012. In the eye of the back, the present generation of German footballers are expected to do much more than just reaching the final - as it was during Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010.
England have chosen as far and expensive as possible
Let's return once more to the subject of lodging of national teams in Ukraine and Poland during Euro 2012. The reporters of Ukrainian newspaper "Today" found out how much expensive hotels have been chosen by football federations for accommodation of their players, coaches and delegates, and how far from the places of matches the participants of the final part of the tournament are going to settle.
The farthest way from the city where it is going to play the Netherlands national football team is going to settle. "The orange" which are to play all (!) the matches of group tournament in Kharkov City, in the east of Ukraine, nevertheless prefer to stay in Krakow, in the south of Poland. Because of that the Netherlands national football team will cover more than 8000 kilometers! There are good grounds for saying that the team from the "country of tulips" is getting acquainted with training camps of Donetsk "Shakhtar": it's but a step to Kharkov.
The next team in the list of those who are looking for extra difficulties - is the England national football team. The British are also going to settle in Krakow, though two matches of three in group stage they are going to play in Donetsk - and it is even far to the east from Kharkov. The total distance which the English are going to cover is more than 7 700 km. And the last of the three "travelling lovers" is the Denmark national football team - a bit less than 7000 km of travelling.
Among the leaders having need for luxury are England and Russia! The cost of the cheapest hotel rooms chosen by football officials of these countries, are 152 and 123 EUROs per night, respectively.
Poland and Ukraine are recommended to the tourists
Last week two British media at once recommended their audience to visit Ukraine in 2012. Thus, the CNN web-site, geared to the opinion of western touristic experts, included Ukraine and Poland into the group of three places compulsory for visiting this year. The reason is of course Euro 2012. The same recommendation was given by women's magazine to its readers. The edition advises British women not only to support the England national team at the matches in Kharkov and Kiev, but also to appreciate the ancient mosaics and frescos of Kiev churches both with Renaissance and Baroque architecture, as well as to enjoy Ukrainian national dishes.
