The UEFA addressed to Germany to be ready for hosting Euro-2012 instead of Ukraine

The management of United European Football Association (UEFA) addressed to German Football Union (DFB) officials demanding to prepare Germany for hosting European Football Championship in 2012, according to British edition Daily Telegraph. As informs British edition, the demand was received after UEFA inspectors paid recently a visit to Ukraine, which together with Poland is hosting Euro-2012. Preparation progress in Poland meets the UEFA requirements, but Germany is proposed to substitute Ukraine, according to NEWSru Israel. UEFA officials are worried that Ukraine won’t prepare and construct the projects for Euro-2012 in time. The report of inspectors, having visited Ukraine two weeks ago will be prepared by September, though as stated the edition the UEFA management is developing a backup plan for Euro-2012 transfer to another country expressing the worries about “unstable political situation in Ukraine, stadiums’ construction slowdown and infrastructure problems”. As it became known to Daily Telegraph the UEFA officials held talks with German Football Union lately as to hosting Euro-2012 together with Poland. Berlin and Leipzig are called as the possible host cities of the Championship.
